Applecross Peninsula Ride

Starting at Shieldaig, turn right onto the A896 Southwards and follow it over the small pass by Loch Coultrie (130 m, NG850479) and down to the right turn onto the minor road over the Bealach na Ba (it's signposted) at Tornappress (NG837421). Turn right and climb to the top of the pass (high point is 626 metres, NG773426). Down to Applecross (NG712445) and right, follow the coast road all the way round until you meet the A896 again (NG818526), turn left and cruise back to Shieldaig. About 45 miles, with about 800 m climbing (621 m of which is the Bealach na Ba itself). Here are a few shots of the Applecross climb:
