Glen Quaich Loop

OS Map: Landranger 52

Sketch map of Glen Quaich loop

Start at Aberfeldy at the A827/A826(Crieff Road)-B826 crossroads (NN854490). Go South up Crieff Road (the A826), a longish climb past Loch na Craige and down the other side. High point is at 398 metres (NN884456). Turn right when the road joins the A822 (NN919384). About 3 km after the T-junction, you reach Amulree, and 500 metres or so past the bridge where the road bends round to the left to go through Amulree is a small road on the right (NN899363). Take this right turn and follow the road past Loch Freuchie. The road gets steep near the top (high point is 522 metres, NN810415) and then goes steeply down to Kenmore at the northern end of Loch Tay (NN775431). Turn right to get back on the A827 to return to Aberfeldy.

Distance is 28 miles, with about 638 metres climbing.
